House Bill 311, which makes taking money for a fraudulent workers compensation claim, and felony crime, will be back in committee next week for executive action. Executive Action is when the committee gets to vote whether the bill dies or goes on to the house floor for a vote. This bill, coupled with some other bills carried by conservatives, is focused on reducing the cost of workers comp. Currently, Montana has the highest workers comp rates in the nation, and in most cases is the highest in the nation.
